A HISTORY BUILT ON QUALITY

Walcan was founded in 1974 on Quadra Island, BC as a small seasonal bait herring producer, but quickly expanded into processing local fishermen’s catches of wild sockeye, chum, coho and pink salmon. With an ideal location near Johnstone Strait, Walcan produces some of the highest quality wild sockeye salmon available in the world.
